Counselors provide counseling in groups of no more that 15 patients. These groups run from 60 to 90 minutes in length, interactive, and designed to encourage patient participation in the session.
Groups are assigned by the primary counselor with the participation of the patient as part of the treatment planning progress.
Some patients are be able to respond well to topics given on an individual basis. Other patients are suited for group sessions.
All patients receive a mixture of individual and group sessions. The program director and clinical supervisors help develop and supervise the topics and interactions suitable for each group.
