Women’s group is a required group for female clients who have active cases with the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). The group is coordinated on a rotating basis by counselors assigned to the maternal unit.

General themes pertinent to this patient population are discussed (e.g., How to successfully negotiate social service, medical, child welfare systems; problems with recovery; child discipline). Presentations from representatives from a variety of social service agencies (e.g., Public assistance, Medicaid, vocational programs) are also provided.
